Year 6-7 transition timetable

WESTFIELD School transition events 2020-21
(for entry in September 2021)

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we cannot follow our usual transition timetable. The dates below represent the revised timetable of transition events.

Naturally we are disappointed that, for the second year in succession, public health advice relating to the pandemic means we cannot run our planned transition days. Our decision has been made in conjunction with headteachers of our main feeder schools and has been based on the advice from Sheffield’s public health team and Sheffield’s Director of Education and Skills which has emphasised the importance of maintaining ‘bubbles’. Despite our disappointment, we know that we were successful in managing a safe and happy transition for our new Year 7 students in September 2020, and we are confident the same can be achieved this year.

Welcome packs sent to parents/carers of accepted pupils:
March 2021

If your child is accepted into Westfield, you should have received a Welcome Pack from the school with further information regarding admissions and the transition process.

The 2 and 3 September 2021 will be Inset Days when the school is closed to students for staff training. On Monday 6 September only Year 7 and Year 11 students will return to school.
